Dhanush’s character order the killing of his father in Pudhupettai. The setting and the  execution are definitely inspired by the scene in Casino, where Joe Pesci (and his brother) are “taken care of”.

Inspiration level: Heavy

The plot of Polladhavan is VERY loosely based on The Bicycle Thief. Of course that’s not the reason they have been cited here. A single shot (a fantastic one though) from the climax has been jeroxed from Snatch. Instead of Brad Pitt flying back, it’s Balaji Daniel here.

Prakash Raj mouths of a lengthy monologue that is a key part of the movie. He makes such a compelling , we are bound to be moved by the talented scriptwriter behind it. OK, everyone except for people who’ve watched Scarface Tony Montana!
